Terms of Service

Last updated: August 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of ChatProof, available at chatproof.topple.kz (the “Service”). By opening the site, uploading a chat export into your browser, or generating a PDF, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the Service.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of another person or an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Description of the Service

ChatProof is a document-preparation tool. It converts a chat export file that you already possess — a WhatsApp _chat.txt file or a Telegram result.json file — into a formatted, printable PDF transcript with continuous message numbering, timestamps, a cover page, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the source file.

The conversion runs entirely inside your web browser. Your chat file is parsed, numbered, hashed and rendered on your own device; it is never uploaded to our servers and never leaves your device through the Service. The Service does not require an account.

ChatProof only reformats the data contained in the export file you provide. It does not verify, investigate or certify who wrote the messages, whether the export file itself is authentic, or whether its contents are true.

3. No legal advice

ChatProof is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this site — including the phrase “court-ready”, the generated documents, and any descriptive text — constitutes legal advice, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of any legal outcome.

Rules on the admissibility of electronic evidence differ between countries, courts and types of proceedings. A transcript generated by ChatProof may or may not be accepted as evidence in your case. You are solely responsible for verifying the admissibility requirements that apply in your jurisdiction and, where appropriate, for consulting a qualified lawyer before relying on any document produced with the Service.

4. Fees, beta status and payment

The Service is currently offered as a free beta: both the on-screen preview and the PDF export are available at no charge. We plan to introduce a one-time fee of USD $9 per finished court-ready PDF; the preview will remain free.

When paid exports launch, payments will be processed by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. The exact price, applicable taxes and the identity of the payment provider will be clearly displayed at checkout before you pay. Paying for an export does not create a subscription — each purchase is a one-time transaction for a single document.

5. Refunds

Once paid exports launch, the following refund policy will apply: if you are not satisfied with a purchased PDF export, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing ponimaiycm@gmail.com with the approximate date of the transaction and, if available, your payment receipt. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through the payment provider; the time for the funds to arrive depends on your bank or card issuer.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

6. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not use the Service to:

  • process chat exports that you do not have a lawful right to possess or use, or use the Service in violation of any applicable law, court order, or the rights of any third party;
  • fabricate, alter or misrepresent evidence — including editing an export file and presenting the resulting transcript as an unaltered record;
  • harass, stalk, blackmail or intimidate any person, or process another person’s private communications for such purposes;
  • probe, disrupt or overload the Service or its hosting infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any related system;
  • copy, resell, rebrand or offer the Service to third parties as your own product without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any use that violates these Terms.

7. Your content and intellectual property

Your content stays yours. You retain all rights to the chat export files you process and the PDF transcripts you generate. Because processing happens entirely in your browser, we never receive, store or acquire any rights over your chat content.

The Service itself — including its software, design, text, logo and branding — is owned by the operator of ChatProof and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service for its intended purpose, no licence to our intellectual property is granted to you under these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that parsing of every export format or edge case will be complete or accurate, or that any generated document will be accepted by any court, authority or other recipient.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of ChatProof shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or legal opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any outcome of legal proceedings in which a generated document was used or refused.

To the same extent, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, and (b) USD $9. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time — for example, when paid exports launch. The current version, with its “Last updated” date, will always be published on this page, and material changes will be reflected there before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a revised version is published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms, refunds or anything else related to the Service can be sent to ponimaiycm@gmail.com.
